TUSTIN, CA-The Coreland Cos. has expanded its management portfolio with more than 1.1 million sf of new retail, office and medical office contracts for properties in Orange and Los Angeles counties and the Inland Empire.The new assignments include six contracts for properties including the Carousel Mall in San Bernardino, Plaza del Sol in Burbank, Brea Plaza in Brea, Westchester Shopping Center in Los Angeles and Canyon Country Plaza in Canyon Country.In addition, the new Coreland assignments include a portfolio of 12 medical/office properties in the South Bay region of Los Angeles. Chris Hite, co-founder and president of Coreland Cos., notes that the medical/office assignment comes from an existing client, Centinela Freeway Healthcare System, for which the locally based company already manages approximately 85,000 sf.Coreland’s management contract for the 495,000-sf Carousel Mall, an enclosed regional mall in San Bernardino, will take effect as the property’s owner begins an extensive redevelopment.The sizes of the other retail properties are Plaza del Sol, 165,000 sf at 10950 Sherman Way in Burbank; Brea Plaza, 148,000 sf at the intersection of the 57 Freeway and Imperial Highway in Brea; Westchester Shopping Center, 157,000 sf on South Sepulveda Boulevard in Los Angeles; and Canyon Country Plaza, 52,000 sf on Sierra Highway in Canyon Country.Coreland is a privately held commercial real estate service company, founded in 1989, that specializes in retail, office, and industrial properties throughout the Western US. The new management contracts follow five new retail leasing assignments totaling more than 428,000 sf in Southern California that were reported earlier this month on GlobeSt.com.The leasing assignments included properties in Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire: Mission Foothill Marketplace in Mission Viejo, Carwood Center in Lakewood, Mountain Village Plaza in Chino, the Staples Shopping Center in San Bernardino and Beach & Garfield East Center in Huntington Beach.
