ATLANTA-Jones Lang LaSalle’s locally based retail group recently secured the leasing assignments of two malls, one outside of St. Louis, the other in Sacramento. The deals bring JLL’s total number of regional malls under third-party management to 58 totaling 33 million sf.

Private owner Carlyle Jamestown Partners LLC retained JLL to manage Jamestown Mall, a one-million-sf center in the suburb of Florissant, MO. Macy’s, Sears and a J.C. Penney outlet store anchor the mall, which was built in 1973 and expanded in 1995.

JLL was hired by LaeRoc Partners, a Hermosa Beach, CA-based real estate investment company, to lease and manage the 640,000-sf Country Club Plaza in Sacramento. Macy’s; Gottschalks; Ross; Bed, Bath and Beyond; Off Broadway Shoes; and Sport Chalet are the primary tenants at that center, which was built in the 1960s and renovated in 2004. LaeRoc acquired the mall in August from Camwatt LLC for $57.8 million.

Earlier this year JLL was hired by the Garrett Group to consult on the development of Garrett Ranch, a one-million-sf mixed-use retail center in Hemet, CA. That Inland Empire center, to break ground this fall, will feature a mix of lifestyle and big-box tenants.

The firm is also trying to lease up the 2.1-million-sf mixed-use Malecon Center under development in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with US-based retailers. That center has space for 182 stores.
