DALLAS-A Hall of Fame panel of “Living Legends” will offer insight and tips on today’s opportunities and potential pitfalls in a one-time event for the RealShare Conference Series.

Ran Holman, managing partner and principal of locally based GVA Cawley, will moderate the session, a crowning point to a half-day of fast-paced sessions set for Oct. 24 at the Westin Galleria at 13340 Dallas Parkway in North Dallas. The fifth RealShare Dallas is expected to attract 400 to 500 North Texas professionals, says Richard Kelley, conference series director, who will share the podium for opening remarks with Carl Ewert, president-elect of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors and executive vice president for the Staubach Co.

The Hall of Fame panel will feature Vance Miller, chairman of the Henry S. Miller Cos.; Marc Myers, president of Myers & Crow Co.; Jesse Pruitt, principal of CMC Commercial Realty Group; Wayne Swearingen, chairman of Barclay Commercial Co.; and Herbert D. Weitzman, chairman and CEO of the Weitzman Group and Cencor Realty Services.

“This is just a special Dallas presentation,” Kelley says, “because there is no market out there that has more living legends than Dallas. We are thrilled to bring this group together.” The “diverse cross-section” of the power block represents “everything that is great about Dallas real estate,” he adds.

Another addition for this year’s lineup is RealShare’s spin on a TV-favorite, “Pardon the Interruption.” Former Trammell Crow Co. colleagues–Chuck Anderson of Bandera Ventures and Michael McVean of Stream Realty Partners LP–are the featured point-counterpoint pros lined up to debate 10 hot-button issues about today’s local market.

“We always want to be innovative and fresh with the information and content that we present at a RealShare event,” Kelley stresses. “But particularly, we need to raise the bar in Dallas due to the excellence of the real estate community and the excellence of the NTCAR and The Real Estate Council.”

The RealShare Conference Series is a production of Real Estate Media, publisher of GlobeSt.com and Real Estate Forum. This year’s star-studded agenda will feature investors, developers and brokers from all sectors to discuss present conditions and the outlook for the long term plus the impact of TICs on the local scene. The in-depth lineup of break-out sessions will include a quartet of institutional buyers willing to discuss why they and others are placing such big bets in Dallas.

As RealShare ushers in the new components, the program still includes its popular “town hall.” Holding the gavel for the sure-fire spirited discussion will be Jack Eimer, president of the central region for Transwestern Commercial Services. The panel will be Eric Beichler, managing partner for Mohr Partners Inc.; Michael Lewis, senior vice president of leasing and marketing for Crescent Real Estate Equities Inc.; and Brian O’Boyle, principal of Apartment Realty Advisors. And the issue is the state of the metroplex, which has been stacking up record-setting investment sales for all product types amid a sea of cranes for spec office and industrial projects and large retail developments.

The doors swing open at 7 a.m.; the concluding bell rings at 2 p.m. “It’s an attractive venue, attractive price point and attractive agenda and networking environment,” Kelley says.
