SANTA ANA, CA-The mixed-use City Place multifamily and retail center at Main Street and Memory Lane has lined up a McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant and other new businesses for the retail portion of the mixed-use project, according to developer Bisno Development Co. In addition to McCormick & Schmick’s, the new tenants will include the Geisha House Japanese restaurant, a Pinkberry frozen yogurt shop that will be the chain’s first Orange County location, a Bank of the West, a new coffee house and a gourmet market.

Robert Bisno, CEO of Bisno Development, says that the new tenants are in keeping with the plan for upscale retail at City Place, which includes lofts and townhomes only steps away from the retailers. The retail is designed to serve the three City Place neighborhoods, which include live/work units called the Lofts, along with townhomes called the Courtyards and the Park.

The Lofts offer units of one and two bedrooms that range from 1,595 sf to 1,925 sf and feature a retail space or office, with garage, on the ground level. Main living areas are on the second level and master suites on the third level. The Courtyards range up to approximately 1,870 sf with two or three bedrooms, while the Park townhomes range from approximately 1,819 sf to 2,494 sf, with three to four bedrooms.

The Bisno Cos., established more than 30 years ago, specializes in master-planned communities, including mixed-use developments, theaters, hotels, resort and office properties. Its lofts and townhomes are the latest in a series of urban multifamily projects that have been undertaken in Orange County in recent years as lofts, condominiums and townhome developments have grown in popularity with developers, investors and homebuyers.
