BOSTON-After shopping the market for about a year, Upstream Technologies will move into 8,361 sf at 101 Huntington Ave. this summer. The relocation will give the company a class A building and a prime Back Bay address.

“They really wanted to stay in the Back Bay and felt this would be a good option,” Adam Schneier, with Lincoln Property Co.’s Boston office, tells GlobeSt.com.

Schneier says the firm spent about a year shopping for a new location before company officials inked a six-year sublease with Manulife Financial. The new lease gives the provider of investment management and implementation services for asset management firms more than double the space it had at its 575 Boylston St. location. The firm will occupy the eighth floor in the 24-story, fully leased Prudential Center building.

Terms of the sublease were not disclosed but Schneier says direct lease rates for class A space in the area generally goes for between $45 and $55 per sf.

The transaction was handled for the tenant by Schneier and Kevin Brown, also with Lincoln Property Co. Jason Cameron, Jeremy Roy, and Bill Barrack, all with of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Boston office represented Manulife in the deal.
