NEWARK-In what a company executive terms “a rare leasing opportunity,” Pantheon Properties has announced that the entire 81,326-sf industrial building at 280 Wilson Ave. here is available for lease. The building has been home to multiple foodservice industry suppliers that are moving out, and the New York City-based Pantheon is targeting that industry sector to re-populate the asset with manufacturing and/or distribution operations.

“This is the first time in 10 years that the entire building at 280 Wilson Ave. has been available for lease,” says Gary Capetta, a Pantheon partner and president of the firm’s brokerage division. “The building is equipped with both refrigerated and frozen area, plus floor drains, and it’s set for a food distributor or manufacturer. In addition, the almost two acres of parking make this a rare find for those looking for abundant vehicle storage.”

Altogether, the four-acre site has parking for 120 vehicles. The building itself has 16-foot ceiling heights, according to Capetta. The property is located in this city’s Ironbound section, near the New Jersey Turnpike, Routes 1 and 9, Port Newark and Newark Liberty International Airport.

“It offers access to New York City and the tri-state area through multiple routes,” Capetta says.

The building at 280 Wilson Ave. is one of several spaces currently being marketed by Pantheon. The firm has on the market smaller blocks of space in the cities of Secaucus, North Bergen, Fairlawn and Lyndhurst.
