BOSTON-Nationally known investors and financial experts will team with some of New England’s top commercial real estate talent in less than two weeks at the third annual RealShare Boston conference at the Back Bay Sheraton. The half-day program on May 16th is sponsored by Real Estate Media, publishers of Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com.

Offering that “there are more questions than answers about the state of the commercial real estate market,” RealShare Boston organizers promise that the environment will be made clearer via a mix of information and networking, plus “an added dash of entertainment.” That element will be offered Wednesday morning via a lively back and forth session entitled, “Fact or Fiction” and featuring Paradigm Properties president Kevin McCall and legendary Boston broker William McCall.

“Fact or Fiction” will ask the two to affix one label or the other to a series of premises presented on such matters as the leasing market, investment sales, construction and job growth. They will then be allowed to elaborate in greater detail. The 20-minute session will follow opening remarks by Real Estate Media publisher Michael Desiato and the keynote address from Barry Bluestone, public policy director for Northeastern University’s Center for Urban and Regional Policy.

The “Fact or Fiction” portion is one of several venues RealShare Boston will provide to decipher the current market conditions and future trends, including a “town hall meeting” format. Moderated by RJ Lyman, a partner at Goodwin Procter LLP, that panel features some of the region’s most prolific developers, including National Development President Thomas Alperin; Ronald Druker of the Druker Co.; mall guru Stephen Karp; and Boston Properties CEO Edward Linde. Meredith & Grew EVP Ronald Perry will also contribute his insights to the topic.

Another impressive lineup follows to untangle the super-heated investment market that saw more than $10 billion of product change hands in 2006 in Massachusetts alone, and one that shows no sign of slowing. As president of the New England Area for Cushman & Wakefield, Robert Griffin is uniquely qualified to moderate that program, being recognized as one of the foremost investment sales brokers of his time. The panel itself is no slouch, either, with Broadway Partners CEO Scott Lawlor and Justin Krebs from Normandy Real Estate Partners joining two major New England players, New Boston Fund SVP Phillip Bakalchuk and Peter Palandjian, CEO of Intercontinental Real Estate Corp. There will be a global outlook available as well from Eddie Byrne, head of lending for Anglo Irish Bank.

M&G EVP James Elcock will orchestrate a panel on suburban activity, a discussion featuring Grubb & Ellis EVP Jack Kerrigan, FHO Partners principal Brian Hines, acquisitions expert Michael Keyes of Intercontinental and John Conley, director of leasing and acquisitions for KS Partners LLC.
