Packager Grows by 33,000 SF

BAYONNE, NJ-Imperial Bag and Paper Co. has been based at 59 Hook Rd. here for a long time as a tenant, and now the company has grown by an additional 33,000 sf. Building owner Pantheon Properties has completed an addition to the building, bulking up its size to a new total of 164,000 sf, and Imperial has signed a long-term lease for the entire site, which totals 6.2 acres. Terms were not released.

“Imperial Bag has been a great, long-time tenant of ours, and it is always our strategy when we acquire properties that we be flexible in accommodating our tenants’ growth,” says Zack Hitchcock of the New York-based Pantheon. “The newly expanded area of the building has high ceilings, wide column bays and a high-density sprinkler system.”

And that new area will be utilized by the tenant, a wholesale distributor of general packaging and packaging supplies for the foodservice industry, as additional W/D space for its janitorial, packaging and foodservice supplies. The expansion was managed by Pantheon Construction, a division of Pantheon Properties.
