AVENTURA, FL-Locally based Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza is planning to open 12 to 14 new locations over the next year. The company currently has locations in Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Weston, Plantation, Palm Beach Gardens and Coral Springs.

The company recently signed leases for three new locations. The Boca Raton-based Prakas Group Inc. is serving as the exclusive broker for the company’s expansion. “After procuring the sites in the tri-county area, we’ll expand to the markets of Naples/Bonita Springs, Stuart and Martin County, Orlando and Tampa over the next few years,” says Prakas president/broker Athan Prakas.

A 4,000-sf lease valued at $850,000 was signed at 115 NE 6th Ave. in Delray Beach. The property owner, Burt Handelsman, represented himself in the transaction. Prakas represented Anthony’s. The estimated occupancy is December.

A 3,000-sf lease valued at $900,000 was signed for space within the Shops at Boca Grove at 21609 Powerline Rd. in Boca Raton. The owner, Woolbright Development, represented itself. Prakas represented Anthony’s. The estimated occupancy is December.

A 2,805-sf lease valued at $12.5 million was signed for space at Pembroke Lakes Square retail center at 11037 Pines Blvd. in Pembroke Pines. The owner, Pembroke Lakes Square LLC, was represented by Joe Carosella of Retail Property Group, Inc. Anthony’s was represented by Prakas franchise restaurant sales and tenant representation specialist Randy O’Donnell. The estimated occupancy is December.

“The Downtown Delray site has great visibility just off Atlantic Avenue and is surrounded by shops and restaurants,” O’Donnell says. “In Boca Raton, the restaurant will benefit from a centrally located retail center with popular anchors that help draw additional traffic to the site.”
