NORWALK, CT-A Westport-based marketing agency is in the throes of relocating its offices to the i.park7 complex. Source Marketing has signed a lease for 17,000 sf of space at the 350,000-sf complex at 761 Main Ave. here.

The firm will relocate its current operations at 15 Ketchum St. in Westport to the i.park7 property, which is located on Route 7 at the Norwalk/Wilton border, in the next few weeks. The deal brings i.park7, which was formerly owned by Perkin-Elmer, to 52% leased. National Re/Sources of Greenwich purchased the 30-acre complex for $21 million in 2006. The property has since undergone a $50-million upgrade intended to transform it into a LEED-certified “green building.”

Cushman & Wakefield senior directors Maureen O’Boyle and Gerard Lees represented National Re/Sources. C&W, which reported the deal, says the transaction was executed in late September and called for a quick turn around to allow the firm to move into the space around year-end.

“We are pleased to be moving to i.park7,” says Derek Correia, CEO of Source Marketing. “In addition to being a great location and offering an attractive development plan for the building and grounds, the property is going to be LEED-certified. In particular, our offices are going to be spectacular, combining the traditional elements of the grand moldings and conference rooms previously occupied by senior level Perkin-Elmer executrices with a new and contemporary flair that you would expect from a marketing services agency.” He adds, “This was the perfect place to relocate as our firm continues to grow.”

C&W officials also note that LA Fitness broke ground last week on its 48,000-sf health club at the property. The club is scheduled to open in about six months. The i.park7 office park features a sustainable design, a “green” roof, low Energy Star-rated windows and energy efficient HVAC.
