CINNAMINSON, NJ-Modell’s Sporting Goods has signed a lease for 18,000 sf of retail space at the Marketplace at Cinnaminson, a 340,000-sf power center here. Owner National Realty & Development Corp. of Purchase, NY was represented in-house by the company’s president, John Orrico.

The New York City-based Modell’s, which now numbers more than 135 stores, was represented in-house by Doug Epstein, and by Joshua Hansburger of Legend Properties, Conshohocken, PA. Terms were not released.

“The addition of Modell’s as a tenant adds to the diversity of retailers serving this project,” Orrico says. “This quality national tenant is an example of our ongoing efforts to attract a variety of the area’s best retailers.”

Located at 2501 Route 130 S., the Marketplace at Cinnaminson is anchored by Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club, and has a tenant roster that includes Fashion Bug, Petco, Dollar Tree and Payless ShoeSource. “A limited number of leasing opportunities are available,” Orrico says.

NRDC currently has four development and redevelopment projects that will add nearly 1.7 million sf to the company’s portfolio over the next two years. Two are in New Jersey–the 385,000-sf CooperTowne Plaza in Somerdale and the 240,000-sf Pohatcong Plaza II in Phillipsburg. The other two are a 300,000-sf redevelopment of a Lord & Taylor site in Stamford, CT and the 750,000-sf Westfield Pavilion in Westfield, MA.
