STAMFORD, CT-Albert B. Ashforth, Inc. Management Services has recently expanded its management duties with Abbey Road Advisors LLC and now manages five office buildings in Westchester County, NY and Connecticut for the Westport-based firm. After being named managing agent for 400 and 465 Columbus Ave. in Valhalla, NY this past December, Abbey Road Advisors has selected Albert B. Ashforth to also manage Shelton Place at 1000 Bridgeport Ave. in Shelton, CT; Rye Brook Plaza at 90 S. Ridge St. in Rye Brook, NY and 20 S. Broadway in Yonkers.

Combined the firm now manages more than 583,000 sf of office for Abbey Road. The firm’s management portfolio in the Westchester-Fairfield region totals approximately 2.7 million sf. Abbey Road Advisors purchased 400 and 465 Columbus Ave. in late 2007 from Diamond Properties in a deal reported to be worth approximately $50 million. In January, Abbey Road acquired 777 Commerce Dr. and 1375 Kings Hwy. E. for $20.7 million from Celestial Capital Corp.

Abbey Road and Ashforth are very much aligned with expectations and delivery of building services.” CB Richard Ellis is the exclusive leasing agent for all five Abbey Road properties, Hartt adds. He says that a large elevator upgrade project is planned at 20 S. Broadway in Yonkers, while a modest lobby renovation is contemplated at 1000 Bridgeport Ave. in Shelton.

Shelton Place, which totals 134,000 sf, was built in 1986. Major tenants include First Connecticut Capital Corp., Group Technology of Trumbull, Avalon Bay Communities, Hersam Press, TekSystems Inc., Tighe & Bond Inc., Toyota Motor Credit Corp. and a People’s Bank retail branch. The Rye Brook Plaza building totals 74,402 sf and was also built in 1986. The property is primarily a medical office building although one of its major tenants is the New York State Department of Taxation. The 20 S. Broadway property is a 135,000-sf office building. Its major tenants are: Bank of America, Westchester Department of Health, Westchester Educational Opportunity Center and the Social Security Administration.
