LAS VEGAS-Ed Feiner has left his position as director of the Washington, DC office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill to be a senior vice president and the chief architect for publicly held Las Vegas Sands Corp. Feiner will oversee the planning, designing and development process for the company’s major casino-resort projects in China, Singapore and the US.

At SOM, Feiner was responsible for design, planning and infrastructure projects in DC as well as consulting on projects around the world. In 1996, prior to joining SOM, Feiner was chief architect for the US General Services Administration, overseeing the development of Federal courthouses, office buildings, national laboratories, border stations, computer centers, and special-use projects.

A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and lectures, Feiner was awarded the Thomas Jefferson Award for Public Architecture by the AIA in 1996.
