JuiceBlendz To Expand to 30 Locations by 2009

WESTON, FL-Locally based JuiceBlendz is planning to triple its size to more than 30 locations by 2009. The national franchise, which sells all-natural smoothies, juices, eats and dietary supplements, currently has 11 locations in South Florida. The company is planning to open locations in Orlando and Tampa, among other areas.

New locations have already been preleased in Downtown Miami’s Mary Brickell Village and Kendall’s Carter Square. JuiceBlendz founder and CEO Adam Ogden tells GlobeSt.com that JuiceBlendz signs and secures the lease, then transfers it to the franchisee. “This real estate approach allows a new franchisee to open within six to eight weeks and eliminates the headaches typically associated with finding the right location,” Ogden says.

Ogden adds that the company is seeking to locate new franchises in high-traffic areas that contain populations with strong disposable incomes. The company is also planning to locate stores outside of Florida later in 2008. “We focus on A1A locations,” he says. “We’ve turned down offers from landlords in instances where the real estate wasn’t strong enough.”

JuiceBlendz are located within a variety of locations, including freestanding stores, sites within shopping centers, arena and airport kiosks and other retail environments. The company offers a range of pre-opening support systems that include site selection and lease negotiation, leasehold construction, four to six weeks of on-site management and daily operational training, marketing support for grand openings, ongoing purchasing assistance, research and development, community marketing teams and management consultation. “We have non-traditional sites such as airports and arenas, like the Miami Heat arena,” he says.
