SANTA CLARA, CA-Seagate Technbology recently expanded its leasehold at 3121 Jay St., one of three neighboring buildings owned by Westcore Properties. The maker of hard disk drives signed a 53-month lease for 12,231 sf of office/R&D space. The cost of the lease is $1.4 million sf, which translates to an average lease rate of $2.16 per sf per month.

The company already leases 23,442 sf at 3101 and 3121 Jay Street. The new lease takes its total leasehold in the two buildings to 35.673 sf. Westcore also owns 3151 Jay St. The three buildings total approximately 145,000 sf.

Matt Shelton of J.R. Parrish represented Seagate in the lease negotiation. Westcore Properties represented itself.
