YARDLEY, PA-Not every commercial real estate company is apparently struggling in this economy. Philadelphia-based BPG Properties is bullish on its Lower Makefield Corporate Center here where it is building a 90,000-sf office building on spec, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer article.

“I’ve been in business 36 years. Everyone says this is the worst,” said BPG president Daniel DiLella. “But this is when you make money.”

There is hope that Lower Makefield can draw from both the New York City and Philadelphia metro areas. Executives at Johnson & Johnson as well as area financial firms are leaving New Jersey in favor of living in lower-taxed Pennsylvania, the article says. Offices are expected to follow.

The Bucks County-situated Makefield is made up of nine office building, only two suites of which are not leased, officials say. To read the full Philadelphia Inquirer article, click here.
