Verizon has invested $22 billion to bring broadband to the multifamily sector because of a demand from a consumer base with growing high-tech needs. So far the company has put this infrastructure in about one million properties.

Listen to Eric Cevis, the telecommunications giant’s vice president of enhanced communities, speak at the recent RealShare Apartments 2008 conference about his firm’s initiatives. “We’re going to find more and more of this as the industry evolves,” he said.
