LAFAYETTE, LA-A brief item in the Lafayette Advertiser reports Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center will soon break ground on a new 400,000-square-foot hospital. The $211 million facility, billed as a “21st Century Medical Center,” is anticipated to be completed by July 2011.

The facility on Ambassador Parkway will also have a 180,000-square-foot medical office building to follow. According to the Web site of project structural engineer TRC Worldwide Engineering Inc. headquartered in Brentwood, TN, the new campus is a replacement hospital.

The project architect is HOK and the contractors Brasfield & Gorrie and the Lemoine Co. Further details were unavailable at deadline.
