HEBRON, KY-Andrews Electornics has entered the Northern Kentucky market with a 73,500-square foot lease. The Southern California firm, which is a division of MTI-Andres, is one of the largest North American electronic parts distribution and reverse logistics companies. It will be taking space at Duke Realty Corp’s Skyport V Building located at 2265 Progress Dr. in Hebron, Ky.

The lease terms were not disclosed, but according to Duke’s website the asking rate is $3.15 net plus. Skyport V is 426,420 square feet, with 106,920 square feet vacant in the facility.

“Andrews Electronics will be a fantastic asset to Kentucky’s business base,” says Gov. Steve Beshear, commonwealth of Kentucky, in a release. “Northern Kentucky has the skilled workforce necessary to attract high-tech companies like Andrews Electronics. We look forward to their contribution to the local economy as they grow right here in Kentucky.”

The Kentucky facility means Andrews Electronics will be able to ship products anywhere in the country in two days or less. Northern Kentucky offers a skilled and available technology workforce,” says Chris Remy, COO of MTI – Andrews.

Andrews Electronics plans to initially hire 25 employees. “We will begin hiring qualified workers very soon.” Remy says. “The cooperation among local and state representatives helped attract Andrews to the region and ultimately choose Northern Kentucky as the best fit for our company and this facility.”
