NEW YORK CITY-Muss Development LLC has added BJ’s Wholesale Club and Applebee’s to its roster of commercial tenants at the 800,000-square-foot retail component of its Sky View Parc in Flushing, Queens. The 20-year BJ’s lease comprises 121,600 square feet, and the warehouse chain’s occupancy at Sky View Center is expected for this November. Applebee’s–which expects to open at the center next spring–has signed on for 6,500 square feet.

Other national retailers that have committed to space at Sky View Center include Target, Best Buy, Marshall’s, Staples and Bed, Bath and Beyond, according to a release from Muss. In the release, Muss SVP Jim Jarosik says the center offers “a tremendous opportunity” within New York City’s “most under-retailed borough.” The commercial space is now 70% leased, the release states.

The shopping center will be flanked by Muss’ Sky View Parc, which will include six high-end condominium towers and a rooftop park. Nearly 140 units have already sold since sales began in the spring of 2008, according to a release. Ripco Real Estate Corp. handled both the BJ’s and Applebee’s deals on behalf of Muss.
