ATLANTA-Nearly 20,000 square feet in new leases, expansions and renewals have been recorded by BremnerDuke Healthcare Real Estate at the Center Pointe Medical I and II buildings in the city’s so-called Pill Hill district. The transactions bring the 363,174-square-foot property to 92% leased, up substantially from 70% occupancy when BremnerDuke bought it nearly two years ago.

Key transactions include Georgia Eye Partners, which extended the term on its 8,118-square-foot lease; St. Joseph’s Hospital, which signed a new lease for 7,368 square feet; and Atlanta Radiology, which renewed and expanded its lease to 4,117 square feet. Larry Jarema, BremnerDuke vice president, represented the building’s ownership in lease negotiations.

“The progress we’ve made both in terms of improvements to the buildings and interest in leasing at Center Pointe proves that this property is one of the best office locations for healthcare practice in metro Atlanta,” says Jason Hinkel, senior vice president of the Southeast region for BremnerDuke. He adds that creating a campus environment at the buildings has allowed the landlord retain existing tenants while attracting new ones.

Center Pointe is located at 1100 Johnson Ferry Road, near Georgia 400 and Interstate 285. BremnerDuke is a division of Duke Realty Corp.
