ROSSLYN, VA-Monday Properties is steadily filling the vacancies at 1101 Wilson Blvd.–a 24-story, 312,763-square-foot office here. The latest leases include an expansion by the General Services Administration by 11,000 square feet; originally GSA occupied 20,000 square feet here, a deal signed earlier this year.

In a separate transaction, GSA renewed 4,000 square feet. The third deal was inked by the Reporters Committee for the Freedom of Press, in which the association renewed their 5,000 square feet. Charles Dilks and Kurt Stout from Grubb & Ellis Co. represented Monday Properties for the GSA leases. Both renewals and expansion were managed internally at Monday Properties by John Wharton and Rob Bowman.

Earlier renewals–and expansions–by other tenants have also contributed to the building’s steady stabilization. One of the anchor tenants there–BAE Systems Land & Armaments–expanded its space by 18,000 square feet to occupy a total of 54,000 square feet. The Post Office has also renewed its space for 4,800 square feet.

Another recent plus for the building: Arlington County is moving forward with its plan to develop a Rosslyn Cultural Center at 1101 Wilson. At the end of last year, it leased 53,000 square feet there, but held back on committing to opening such a center until it could complete a cost analysis. Earlier this month the county decided it could move forward with its plans, aided by the Rosslyn BID, who promised to kick in funds for the center.
