WASHINGTON, DC-A law firm has inked a lease to occupy the fourth floor in a newly delivered redevelopment at 1129 20th St., NW. Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP has signed an 18,677-square-foot lease for space in the Liberty Building, a Liberty Property Trust asset that delivered in June 2009. The firm is leaving 2001 L St., NW and moving to the Liberty Building in June 2010.

Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers’ Phillip Thomas, Eli Barnes and Will Stern represented Liberty Property Trust. Bruce Pascal and Mike Fox of CB Richard Ellis represented the tenant.

Other tenants occupying the 10-story, 176,390-square-foot building include Widmeyer Communications and YMCA. Currently DC landlords are struggling with growing vacancies–and a growing supply of new and redeveloped buildings that are just now coming online. According to a Jones Lang LaSalle market report, buildings that delivered last quarter–including renovations and expansions–include 300 New Jersey Ave., NW; 1801 K St., NW–11th and 12th floors; 1775 Pennsylvania Ave., NW; 1999 K St., NW; 1200 19th St., NW; 1155 F St., NW; 700 6th St., NW; 55 M St., SE; and 1100 1st St., NE.
