LOS ANGELES-Retail broker Patrick Walmsley is now a managing director in the Los Angeles office of Madison Marquette. Amer Hammour, CEO of the Washington, DC-based company says the former managing director for Eastdil Secured will assist him in making strategic acquisitions, broadening the firm’s capital base and representing clients and partners.
At Eastdil, Walmsley was responsible for marketing and executing large retail property transactions. His deals included the $2.75-billion First Washington Portfolio sale; the $234-million recapitalization of Madison Marquette-owned Bay Street in Emeryville, CA; the $345-million JV and mezzanine senior construction financings for Park Lane in Dallas; the $170-million sale of Whalers Village in Maui; and the $163-million sale of Burbank Empire Center in Burbank, CA.
Walmsley was not immediately available Monday morning for comment. Over the past 17 years he has overseen approximately $15 billion in property transactions. Walmsley will bounce between Madison Marquette’s Los Angeles and New York offices.
