MISSION VIEJO, CA-The Ensign Group, a firm that provides a variety of nursing services, has expanded by 9,000 square feet in a 29,829-square-foot lease renewal here, one of three recent office deals totaling more than 62,000 square feet in the county. The Ensign Group’s new lease is a 10-year deal at the Mission Ridge development at 27101 Puerta Real in Mission Viejo.

The 27101 Puerta Real property is a 117,000-square-foot building that Ensign has been in since 2003, according to Jones Lang LaSalle, which represented Ensign in its lease with landlord Mission Ridge Associates. Terms of the Ensign lease were undisclosed. Its previous lease was due to expire on Sept. 30. The JLL team included Leland Bruce and Mitch Lundquist; Mission Ridge Associates was represented by Scott Johnstone and Greg Puccinelli of Grubb & Ellis Co.

The Ensign Group Inc.’s operating subsidiaries provide skilled nursing and assisted living services, physical, occupational and speech therapies, and other rehabilitative and healthcare services for both long-term residents and short-stay rehabilitation patients. It operates at 73 facilities in California, Arizona, Texas, Washington, Utah, Idaho and Colorado.

Securing 16,012-Square-Foot Lease at 4350 Von Karman Ave.

In a 16,520-square-foot lease at 3030 Pullman in Costa Mesa, Working Wardrobes signed a five-year deal with landlord El Mar LLC for a new headquarters. The tenant, which is a nonprofit service organization, was represented by associate vice president John Suggs of Grubb & Ellis. Working Wardrobes, which helps people in crises to re-enter the work force by providing career development, wardrobing and grooming services, is moving from Fountain Valley and is scheduled to occupy its new headquarters location on Nov. 1. The landlord was represented by Lee & Associates.

In a 16,012-square-foot lease at 4350 Von Karman Ave. in Newport Beach, Public Agency Retirement Service has signed a lease with landlord Stoneridge Capital Partners that brings the building to 100% occupancy at the four-story, 68,000-square-foot class A office building, according to Grubb & Ellis. Senior vice presidents Greg May and Oliver Fleener represented Newport Beach-based Stoneridge in the lease, which calls for Public Agency Retirement to take occupancy of the space in February. The tenant was represented by Michael Beattie and Steven Card of Travers Realty Corp. The 4350 Von Karman building is in the Koll Center Newport Business Park.
