[IMGCAP(1)]IRVINE, CA-Holliday Fenoglio Fowler has expanded its Southern California investment sales team with the hiring of former Grubb & Ellis brokers Ryan Gallagher and Kelly Rohfeld. In Newport Beach, KBS Realty Advisors has strengthened its presence in the Southwest with the addition of 27-year industry veteran Brent Carroll as senior vice president and asset manager for the company’s Southwest Region portfolio.

[IMGCAP(2)]Gallagher will head the new HFF team, which will focus on institutional investment sales for HFF, primarily in Southern California. Gallagher and Rohfeld formerly served as an investment sales team with the Grubb & Ellis Institutional Capital Group. Gallagher, who was a senior vice president at Grubb & Ellis, joins HFF as a senior managing director. Rohfeld, a 16-year industry veteran who was a vice president at Grubb & Ellis, joins HFF as a director.

[IMGCAP(3)]HFF senior managing director Donald Curtis notes that the addition of the Gallagher-Rohfeld team marks HFF’s third expansion effort on the West Coast during the past 12 months and demonstrates the firm’s commitment to growing its investment sales platform. He cites the recent additions of the team of Michael Leggett and Gerry Rohm in San Francisco in May, and Bryan Ley in the company’s Los Angeles office in late 2008.

At KBS Realty Advisors, Carroll will direct KBA asset performancein Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. The longtime commercial real estate veteran will be based at the KBS headquarters in Newport Beach.

Carroll will direct all third-party consultants and agents in the region, including property management, leasing, property tax consulting, property-level legal and construction management experts. He joins KBS after 11 years with Atlanta-based Industrial Developments International (IDI), which focuses exclusively on industrial properties.

As IDI’s vice president of development of the Western Region, he jointly oversaw the development, broker community interaction and transaction activities, including leases, acquisitions and sales, enabling the region to lead the company in profitability during the last four years. Before IDI, Carroll was a first vice president in the Anaheim office of CB Richard Ellis.
