Pizza Hut Pens Deal in Plano

PLANO, TX-The Dallas Morning Newsreports that years at its location along the North Dallas Tollway in Addison, TX, Pizza Hut is moving its headquarters north. The pizza giant’s destination is 20.5 acres in the Legacy Business Park.

The article reports that the nation’s largest pizza chain, which is part of Yum Brands Inc. of Louisville, KY, plans to invest approximately $20 million on the building and equipment. The cost of the land, which was purchased in early February from Trammell Crow Co., was not disclosed. The company’s lease expires on its current headquarters, located approximately 10 miles north of downtown Dallas, in late December.

According to the article, Pizza Hut is receiving grants and tax breaks of more than $2 million from the city of Plano, its largest ever. The amount includes development grants for costs such as relocation and construction of a new test kitchen.
