SACRAMENTO-From November 1, the government will assist over 42,000 jobless homeowners in California to make mortgage payments till they get another job. Due to a 12.4% increase in unemployment rates in the capital region, the U.S. Treasury Department is providing an additional of $476.2 million to the $64 million California program that will to pay up to $1,500 per month to jobless homeowners.
