NEW YORK CITY-Ian Schrager, CEO of Ian Schrager Co., took a look at the Hotel Chelsea, the famed 12-story hotel which is currently up for sale. However, the hotel icon passed on purchasing it.

The property was put up for sale for the first time in over 65 years in October and has garnered significant attention from investors interested in the landmark hotel. The hotel includes 101 apartments and 125 hotel rooms and carries close to no debt. Owners of the hotel are selling the property for $90 million.
