CHICAGO-An executive from Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has told Alderman Tom Tunney that the retail merchant has not inked a deal to lease a retail store in the Lakeview locality. The retailer has not singed a letter of intent or lease agreement for a store at Broadway at Surf, Maggie Sans of Wal-Mart.

Based on real estate sources, Crain’s reported last week that the retailer had inked a letter of intent to lease a 30,000-square-foot store in the center at 2840 N. Broadway. For the full story, go to Crain’s Chicago Business.
