CHICAGO-Chicago-based Urban Investment Research Corp. (UIRC) is rebuilding an empty warehouse in Pilsen on a speculative basis. The 122,000-square-foot warehouse is located at 2180 S. Racine Ave.

UIRC and ASB Allegiance Fund are spending $8 million to carry out the project at Cermak Road and Racine Avenue. They purchased the warehouse, which previously housed Premium Plastics Inc., for $5 million in 2008. UIRC is redeveloping the building for multi-tenant use.
