CHAMPAIGN, IL-McShane Construction Co., based in Rosemont, IL and Eden Supportive Living, headquartered in Chicago, have partnered on a 150-unit supportive living development. The 150-unit renovation is underway and once completed, will provide studio and one-bedroom units (as well as support services) for disabled individuals between the ages of 22-64.

The site at 222 N. State St. once held a Howard Johnson motel, and according to McShane Construction’s Executive Vice President Mark T. Tritschler, much of the interior of the 1960s building is being gutted. “We’re keeping the structural skeleton of the building, but it will have a whole new exterior.
