NEW YORK CITY—Actavis, Inc. has revealed plans to make available for sublease approximately 175,000 square feet at 909 Third Ave., in Midtown East. CBRE’s agency team of Howard Fiddle, Zach Freeman, Anthony Dattoma and Evan Fiddle, along with CBRE Global Corporate Services’ Bill Mooney and Robert Denney, represent the pharmaceutical company.
Located between 54th and 55th streets, the space was built two years ago and is ready for move in as soon as next month. The build-outs are consistent throughout the available space at the office tower, which is owned by Vornado.
“This space has great natural light and views in every direction and we can assemble 175,000 rentable square feet for a corporate headquarters, or divide the space into contiguous blocks of 100,000 and 65,000 square feet, or even individual units of approximately 30,000 square feet,” says Fiddle, vice chairman. “The space works for all industries because of its floor-plate efficiency and flexible open or traditional office configuration.”
Actavis, Inc. is offering the space for sublease through January 2027, as a result of consolidations of facilities following its acquisition of Forest Laboratories. In total, 909 Third Ave. features approximately 1.3 million rentable square feet spread across 33 floors. Built in 1968, the building offers floor sizes that average 31,500 square feet.
