LOS ANGELES—It won’t be surprising to anyone in the commercial real estate industry that TruAmerica Multifamily has had another big year. The firm, which has been aggressively acquiring value-add workforce housing projects along in the Western US since its inception in 2014, expanded its acquisition territory to the East Coast with a new office in Washington DC. At RealShare Apartments in Downtown Los Angeles at the end of October, we caught up with Bob Hart, the president and CEO of TruAmerica Multifamily, to ask about the move and to reflect on the firm’s year.
