Taymil, which owns more than 800 multifamily units in the region, purchased the portfolio from Ebner Enterprises LLC Torrington, Ebner Enterprises Litchfield LLC, Brookgate LLC and Litchfield East LLC. Steve Witten and Victor Nolletti of the New Haven office of Marcus & Millichap Investment Real Estate Services were the sole brokers in the transaction.
Several months ago, Taymil purchased a 252-unit, three-property multifamily portfolio located in Bristol, Manchester and Meriden for approximately $15 million in another Marcus & Millichap brokered transaction.
The Litchfield County portfolio includes the Winthrop Court Apartments, a 60-unit development at 441 Winthrop St., in Torrington; Brookgate Apartments, a 54-unit development at 451 Harwinton Ave. in Torrington; Holly House Apartments, a 22-unit community on East St. in Litchfield; and Woodruff Court Apartments, a 60-unit development at 33 Woodruff Lane in Litchfield.
Marcus & Millichap's Witten says that the deal for Taymil Partners was an opportunistic acquisition. "There are minimal multifamily properties available in this market and very few every trade."
