PALM SPRINGS, CA—Donald W. Wexler Associates, one of Palm Springs best-known architectural firms, is merging with Santa Monica-based design giant Widom Wein Cohen O’Leary Terasawa. Wexler, head of Wexler Associates, will become a principal of WWCOT. The Palm Springs office will be managed by Pam Touschner, WWCOT’s current principal in charge of Inland Empire operations and president-elect of the Inland California Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.Wexler started working in Palm Springs in 1953 and founded his current firm 10 years later. He and his colleagues have designed several of the area’s best-known buildings, including the Palm Springs Police Station and the Desert Justice Center in Indio. WWCOT, founded in 1949, has consistently ranked as one of the LA area’s 20 busiest architectural firms.
