Beacon Partners, the developer, started the first building after research showed 100,000 cars traveled Interstate 77 and Harris Boulevard daily from the north end of Mecklenburg County, on their way to downtown Charlotte office locations. The developer figured employers could attract more workers by locating their business near the employees' home base.
"Tenants have told us they have cut their commuting time in half," says Will Miller, a Beacon partner.
