Furniture Chain Erecting New Headquarters

Warehousing space will comprise most of the 917,014-as asset.

TAMARAC, FL—The 11-store City Furniture chain is constructing a 917,014-sf headquarters building on Sawgrass Expressway, just west of NW 67th ST and Hiatus Road in this Fort Lauderdale suburb. Completion is scheduled for June 2001.

Warehousing operations will comprise 86% of the space in the new building. The balance of the space will be shared by administrative offices, a showroom, retail center and a restaurant. City Furniture is relocating from Corporate Park in Sunrise, also a Ft. Lauderdale suburb.
