Knight/Trimark Moves HQ to Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ—Knight/Trimark Group Inc., a wholesale market maker in US equity securities, will stay in Jersey City, NJ, permanently making the state’s second largest city its world HQ by next summer. The company is taking 266,000 sf at 545 Washington Blvd., which is adjacent to its current HQ at 525 Washington Blvd. The new headquarters building, currently under construction, will double Knight/Trimark’s space. Company officials cite proximity to Downtown Manhattan and lower costs as reasons for choosing Jersey City.

Newmark & Co. and Newmark & Co. Real Estate of New Jersey arranged the transaction for Knight/Trimark. Cushman & Wakefield Inc. represented the owner, the Lefrak Organization.
