Simmons Vedder Eyes 157,000-SF Spec Office

HOUSTON—Simmons Vedder Co. is planning to construct a 157,000-sf spec office building in North Houston. The project will be the second building Simmons Vedder has developed in Greens Crossing, a business park near the intersection of Interstate 45 and the Sam Houston Parkway. The new building will be constructed on a 16-acre tract at the corner of Gears Road and Greens Crossing. Simmons Vedder, a Texas developer, purchased the land from Carsam Realty Two, an affiliate of Fuller Realty Partners of Houston, which negotiated the land deal. The building will be a one-story building marketed for technology firms or companies with telecommunications operations. A number of telecommunications firms have located in the North Houston area over the last year.
