New Help for Housing in Camden

CAMDEN, NJ-A major Federal grant figures to add new capital to this distressed city's redevelopment fires, but where is the oversight?

For Camden, one of the most downtrodden large cities in the nation, a number of questions remain, foremost among them oversight of the Fed grant. The city has already received substantial help in its redevelopment efforts, but city officials have steadily filed into the courts over corruption charges. At presstime, the state was strongly considering a governmental takeover of Camden.
