Hoping to attract aficionados from around the country, the project will house memorabilia, a hall of fame, interactive simulators (drive a virtual track), theaters and restaurants. Dawsonville native and NASCAR driver Bill Elliott plans to donate some of his own items to the museum. Autosports are big business in metro Atlanta, where there are five racetracks within or near the metro area.
