Sources said the company is spending about $2 million to renovate the 44-year-old building. "We're investing a significant amount to modernize the building. It's still very structurally sound," Leo says.

Company officials did not wish to disclose the purchase price of the building. Citation was acquired by B.N. Bahadur in 1995, Leo says. The move was seen as part of larger plans to rejuvenate the supply companies.

The company will move 275 employees from four smaller plants in Roseville and Warren, MI.
