The buyer is Doro Inc., a restaurant chain based in Eau Claire, WS. CKE, which is based here, announced plans earlier this year to sell at least 500 stores in 2000 in an effort to raise $200 million.
Each company represented itself in the bulk transaction and all the stores involved carry the Hardee's name, a CKE spokesperson says. Despite the sale, CKE still operates 3,800 stores.
