BLOOMINGTON, MN - Construction on the bridge at I-494, to be built by November 2002, was moved up eight years due to new corporate campus planned for Best Buy.
Best Buy will contribute an estimated $11 million or more in property taxes from its new campus, and that allowed the project to be moved up, according to Richfield officials. Also, the additional traffic resulting from Best Buy's campus increased the need for the new bridge.
