VoiceStream Opening 70,000-sf Call Center

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO-VoiceStream Wireless tickets a site near the US Air Force Academy for a 70,000-sf call center. The operation's two-year plan will provide 550 new jobs

The 70,000-sf center, which will provide operations and customer services, is being built in the Briargate Business Complex in north Colorado Springs near the US Air Force Academy. The center is scheduled to open in November. Over the next two years, about 550 people will be hired to work at the center. Deutsche Telekom, a German telecommunications giant, plans to buy VoiceStream and invest $5 billion in the operation.
