Bank of America will occupy about half the building's 900,000 sf of office space. Other announced tenants include Hearst Corp., about 160,000 sf; and the law firm of Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman, 157,000 sf.
Although the building has a Tryon Street address, the College Street side has been designed as a second front entrance. The building will also have 50,000 sf of retail on three levels, one of which will connect to the city's tallest structure, the 60-story Bank of America Corporate Center.
The Hearst Tower will have about 1,500 parking spaces on 11 floors. Trammell Crow Co. and the Keith Corp. are developing Hearst Tower for Bank of America.
