That's about to change. Developer the Barrett Cos., based in Fort Lee, NJ, plan to build two luxury rental buildings with more than 500 apartments. The company also plans to build terraces, a health club and a parking garage on the site.
The development is named Half Moon Harbour, and it comes after more than six years of battling over what to do with the property. Concerns have focused mostly on traffic and density factors. For marketing purposes, the project has a built-in plus: overlooking the Hudson River, it has great Manhattan views roughly opposite West 70th Street.
