Year-to-date, a total of 300,000 sf has been leased in the newproject, according to Chip Colvill, senior director of TishmanSpeyer Properties, the developer of the building. The 20-storybuilding is located on the Sam Houston Tollway in the Westchaseproject on Houston's west side.

The newest lease in the BriarLake Plaza is the 62,000-sf leasesigned by Luminant Worldwide Corp., an Internet business servicefirm. In addition, Petrocosm Marketplace leased 50,000 sf;MarchFirst leased 25,000 sf; and Quest Software leased 16,000 sf.Other tenants in the building include Microsoft, Magic Earth andStructure Consulting Group LLC.

The strong leasing activity has encouraged Tishman Speyer tobegin plans for additional buildings on that site. The company hasproposed to construct a 10-story, 250,000-sf Two BriarLake Plazaand a six-story 150,000-sf Three BriarLake Plaza some time nextyear.
