Under the new plan, the resort would move east of Pacific Street.Manchester would also keep an outdoor stage in its present locationrather than moving it to another site. The company plans to meet withthe city council in closed session Wednesday to discuss the changes.

Manchester wants to build a 450-room hotel, outdoor entertainment areaand convention center building. But staff for the state CoastalCommission have objected to the plans to close a three-block stretch ofPacific Street to vehicle traffic and turn over land owned by the cityto Manchester.

The Coastal Commission is expected to formally consider the project at a meeting next month.
